Hey everyone it's getting to be hammer time again.
The 5th Annual Macabee Knives Hammer-in will be held June 15th - 17th , 2012
in Johnstown, Ohio. The address is 3010 Mink St NW Johnstown, OH 43031
This year Aldo Bruno The New Jersey Steel Baron Will not only be selling
steel but he will be making it. After having so much fun last year smelting
steel he has volunteered to do it again.
Andy Davis Will be making Mokume Gane, non-ferrous Damascus for blade
fittings.
John Logan will be forging a Tomahawks.
Eric Nelson will be demonstrating Japanese cutting techniques and talking
Japanese blades.
Scott Lawski and his crew will be putting on a Knife Fighting demonstration.
We will also be holding a cutting competition, lots more bladesmithing
demo's and the traditional BBQ Saturday night Created by our host and pit
master Mark Eyer.
Saturday evening's entertainment will be a fire sculpture put on by David
and Carrie Chew.
Please feel free to bring your tools and knife making supplies to sell.
There is no extra charge for vendors.
Also please bring something to donate to the Iron in the Hat raffle. Which
helps keep the cost low.
If you would like to demonstrate (demonstrators get in free) or have Ideas
about what you would like to see please let me know.
The fee for the weekend is $25.00..
